With so many fishing related magazines on newsstands, it is refreshing to see a new title with a completely different concept. I mean nothing for nothing, but if I read about ‘how to catch a redfish’ one more time, I may just turn into a redfish.

I couldn’t believe those pictures of mahseer (“King of the Himalayas”) as I never even knew about them. I’d really love to go to Nepal one day as those fish look totally prehistoric, sort of a cross between a tarpon and a sturgeon.

I noted in the article about fishing in Hawaii (“Hook-Up in Hawaii”) how the action is still going strong around those islands. I can vouch for that, especially off Kona. Anyone thinking of a trip there should know that you’re into the marlin fishing almost as soon as the boat clears the main charter boat marina in Kona because of the quick drop-off to deep water.
