Destination Fish
Shearwater, The Gateway to the Great Bear Rainforest, is located on the calm, protected waters of the Central Coast of British Columbia. From early May through September this myriad of channels, islands and inlets are teeming with all five species of Salmon on their annual migration to their natal streams. The highlights are definitely the huge, hard-hitting Chinook or King Salmon, and the smaller, but feisty and acrobatic Coho or Silver Salmon. Dont forget the plentiful bottom fish that will readily bite your lure, including Halibut, Lingcod, Rock Fish and Snapper. Whatever your quarry, Shearwaters sheltered waters ensure that you fight big fish ... not bad weather!
