Our Story

When we first set foot on the sand beach of Apple Island, in 2003, we set out to frame this spectacular setting with a complimenting array of accommodations, culinary offerings, service standards and amenities that separate Talon Lodge from every other fishing lodge in Alaska. We believe that we have accomplished this goal.

The Glacier Bay area has some of the greatest sportfishing in the world. Trophy-sized halibut, up to 400 pounds, migrate into the bay in early May and stay throughout the summer.

You can also fish for Lingcod, Yellow Eye and Dolly Varden. In all cases the fish hit hard and provide plenty of action.
